Google Wave Notifier
Google wave, an innovative product from Google, have started it’s journey a few months back. Google aim to redefine the way people use internet. So it will definitely take more time to get a wide acceptance. But still many people uses it in their daily life.
Google Wave Notifier is a new desktop widget which alerts when ever you receive a new Wave. Its and open source program currently available for windows alone. You can get the updates from the system tray.
After logging on, the Google Wave Notifier will automatically inform you of new Waves or replies to existing Waves. When a new Wave appears, a popup will be displayed and the system tray icon will get an overlay icon to indicate you have an unread Wave.

Pino-twitter
Twitter is getting increased popularity among social media sites. Many people use some sort of desktop client for accessing theirs updates from twitter instead of going directly to twitter.com. We discussed about a social networking addon for Firefox Yoono. But if you are not using Firefox or need only a simple client for twitter, Here is the way to go Pino-twitter.
Pino-twitter is a simple and fast twitter client for Ubuntu. Moreover, its written in Vala language. Programs written in Vala is compiles to native binary code. Hence you get increases speed and less memory usage.
Pino-twitter is still in development stage.

HitWicket
HitWicket has launched its first version on February of 2009. From very beginning of its journey, HitWicket hold the position of Cricket related addon which has the highest download rate in Mozilla. Now it is becoming the most downloaded cricket addon in Mozilla.
HitWicket is a small piece of software which enable Firefox users to view live international cricket scores at the bottom of their browser. HitWicket is capable of listing max of 4 live matches.
HitWicket fetch data from CMDN.com which is a new player in cricket websites. And HitWicket is the only addon that uses CMDN.com.
Apart from live scores, HitWicket also provide lose of wicket alerts which is very useful for people engaged in other works. They are alerted when important events happens in their favorite cricket match.
One other unique feature which is not usually shipped with plugins is its theming support. User can select the color scheme of widget window which is best suit to their operating system theme.
